Meneguar - Strangers in Our House

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Jeremy Earl, Christian Deroeck, Jarvis Taveniere and Justin Wertz first played together in the band Sheryl's Magnetic Aura. In early 2004, After a few 7 inches, a CD, bunch of tours and bunch of line up changes the 4 remaining members decided to start over. Meneguar was born in the spring of 2004 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and have been compared to the early rock-ness of modest mouse, the dance-ability of Q and not U and the general sound of modern era Dischord Records all while crafting their own style of DIY Indie-Punk.

"Strangers in Our House" is set for release September 25th on Troubleman Unlimited and a limited edition vinyl version will be released on Release the Bats Records. Thanks to Roawr.blogspot.com for this link. Check out his page, tons of great great stuff.

Narwhalz (Of Sound) - The Church of the Pom Wizard

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Narwhalz is a one-man, pomeranian obsessed, wizard's robe adorned crazy asshole from Richmond, Virginia writing abrasive gameboy noise for the expressed purpose of killing his father, William Wegman; "This band exists to kill my father William Wegman" being the first line you will read on Narwhalz web page (www.dotcomandshit.org) go to his web page or to his myspace and you will begin to understand the craziness. Narwhalz is also known for his connection to the Baltimore Wham City scene (i.e. Dan Deacon, Double Dagger, Videohippos) most recently for designing the cover art and t-shirts for Videohippos' latest release "Unbeast the Leash."

"The Church of the Pom Wizard" is a sonic testament to the absurd and the "art for the sake of art" aesthetic. This album is almost unlistenable (and take me seriously, i listen to a whole lot of noise) which is exactly why you should download it and listen to it entirely. "The church of the Pom Wizard" is 32 minutes of 8-bit sounds and beats at tempos that range from sluggish to fucked your mom a thousand times while you blinked.
